On the stage of the Athens Concert Hall, the 10th Anniversary Hair Awards by Estetica Hellas celebrated eight decades of Estetica and honoured the most influential hairstylists of the year. Among the winners of the evening, Cypriot hairstylist Giannis Karaolis was awarded the SILVER prize for Cypriot Hairdresser of the Year 2026, a distinction that recognises his professional trajectory, his creativity and his significant contribution to the world of hairdressing.
The winners of the nine competition categories were selected by an international jury of leading personalities in hairdressing, including Dimitri Vinokurov, Angelo Seminara, Christophe Gaillet, Patrick Cameron and Eric Zemmour. The gala, hosted by Estetica Hellas Editorial Director Fryni Latou and hair specialist Markos Efthimiou, brought together artists, industry leaders and media from across the Greek and Cypriot beauty scene.
Giannis has operated his own luxury hair salon in Paphos for more than five years and has established himself as one of the most respected hairstylists in Cyprus, with a particular specialisation in bridal hairstyling. He is now preparing to represent Cyprus at the OMC Hairworld World Championship, where hairdressers from more than fifty countries compete for the title of World Champion.

Giannis Karaolis is one of the most rapidly rising names on the contemporary beauty and hairstyling scene in Cyprus and Greece, distinguished by a luxury aesthetic, creative direction and a consistently high standard of service. In May 2026 he took 1st place nationally at the HairProf competition in the Classic Bob category | a defining moment that further strengthened his presence and recognition in professional hairdressing.
In 2025 he was distinguished at the Estetica Hair Awards as one of the leading hairstylists in Cyprus and Greece, and in 2026 he returned as a finalist, confirming a steadily rising trajectory in the beauty industry. In parallel, he invests heavily in the education and evolution of bridal hairstyling, delivering exclusive masterclasses, private education sessions and advanced one-to-one trainings for professional hairstylists across Cyprus and Greece.
His work now reaches international fashion and beauty projects. In May 2025 he travelled to Paris to style models for the Nina Ricci fashion house, gaining significant experience in haute couture and editorial beauty. In May 2026 he led editorial hairstyling for a Glamour Bulgaria magazine shoot. He has also collaborated with well-known figures from the Greek showbiz and social media scene, including Alexandra Panagiotarou. The next milestone in his career is the World Hairdressing Championship in Cannes, where he will compete with the National Team of Greece, representing Greece and Cyprus under coach Sakis Giannoula.
